The Role of Organic Brands Towards Sustainable Development
The Vedic ways of ancient India were far more advanced for sustainability than any other civilization in the world. As humans started to be more technologically advanced, the more careless they got towards nature’s resources. The ozone layer depletion, global warming, wildfires, extinction of certain animal species, recurring floods, and earthquakes are some proof of how unconsidered development has damaged the planet.
Sustainable development is the idea that human beings should at least sustain to meet their basic needs and leave a sustainable planet for future generations. The concept doesn’t just restrict to natural resources, sustainability is also needed in social and economic resources. The United Nations has designed a ‘blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all’ which are The Sustainable Development Goals.
India has been actively improving its score toward achieving the SDGs. Living an organic life has been a proven lifestyle for achieving sustainable development. It is often believed that eating farm-based is the only way towards living an organic lifestyle. Busting that myth, many organic brands have entered the fashion and personal care segments to provide a sustainable alternative.
Here are some Organic Indian Brands which are contributing to a sustainable future:

Adapting an organic lifestyle is a slow growth as it isn’t affordable to many middle-class populations which are in the majority.
